Erling Haaland may not be returning to Norway with the Golden Boot, but he is coming home with the next best thing.
Following a 2-1 loss to England in the 2026 World Cup quarterfinals on Saturday, the Norwegian striker—who charmed fans around the world with his keen sense of humor, voracious goal-scoring, and lively Snapchat presence—touched down in Oslo with his many souvenirs in hand. Among Haaland’s spoils? A fresh-off-the-runway bag and a taxidermied raccoon drinking from a bottle of liquor.
While Haaland is best known for his extensive Birkin collection, he also counts quilted Chanels and landscaped Louis Vuitton duffles among his treasure trove of handbags. But for his trip back from Miami, he opted for a Dolce & Gabbana Sicily tote. This was no average Dolce bag—the ecru canvas bag with its burgundy alligator accents just walked the runway last month at the spring 2027 menswear show in Milan.
But the brand-new bag wasn’t the biggest surprise of Haaland’s carry-ons—that distinct honor would belong to “Whiskey Raccoon,” the $750 taxidermied raccoon sipping from, as the name suggests, a bottle of whiskey. Haaland picked the critter up on his trip to Wild Bill’s Western store in Dallas, Texas, where he also purchased a cowboy hat, boots, and a T-shirt that read, “Y’all Can Kiss My Dallas.”
It’s safe to say that, while Erling Haaland didn’t make it to the end of the World Cup, he made the most of his trip to the United States.
