For those in Sin City to soak up the buzz of Formula 1 Las Vegas, scoring an invite to “The After”—aka the official after-party hosted at Delilah on Saturday night—was akin to a jackpot hit.
Following the day’s Grand Prix race, the bash kicked off at the hotspot located inside the Wynn Hotel at 11 p.m. Dozens of stars—including Orlando Bloom, Kevin Hart, Ali Larter, Machine Gun Kelly, and Lewis Hamilton—gathered amongst an overflowing crowd within the Art Deco-style main room of the club to enjoy performances and toast to the event’s return to the city.
As endless trays of espresso martinis did the rounds, Anderson .Paak delivered a high-energy set at the DJ decks. After the musician played his last track, rumors abounded that there was more to come. Just past 1 a.m. said whispers were confirmed when John Mayer emerged with his guitar. Much to the delight of screaming fans, the Grammy Award-winning singer launched into a surprise one-hour-long performance, serenading thousands of late night revelers with new material and the Grateful Dead tracks he’s been touring the world with in recent years. Naturally, he was joined by a chorus of partygoers once the first notes of Your Body Is a Wonderland reverberated around the venue.
“Tonight’s inspiration is Travis Scott,” Mayer said into the mic, nodding to his fellow chart-topper standing front and center. Scott, in a long-sleeve shirt by streetwear label Stüssy, looked chuffed with the unexpected shout-out. Also spotted taking it all in were Jeremy Renner, LaLa Anthony, Tyga, Flava Flav, Jordyn Woods, Suni Lee, Sara Sampaio, and Victoria Justice
Marking the third time that Delilah has set the scene for the official post-event bash, the night was hosted by John Terzian and Brian Toll of The h.wood Group in partnership with Scott Sartiano and Will Makris of Bond Hospitality. Routinely bringing together a guest list that spans sports, fashion, and entertainment, the party welcomed F1 actor Damson Idris, Alesso, Patrick Ta, Victoria Monét, and Jake and Logan Paul.
