While it may be difficult to imagine during these dog days of summer, cooler days are on the distant horizon—perhaps sooner than you think—and with them comes the start of the fashion school year. With that in mind, it’s official: From Thursday, September 10 to Tuesday, September 15, Fashion Week will descend on New York City for the first of the circuit’s spring 2027 womenswear collections.
On the eve of New York Fashion Week’s official start, there are, of course, a handful of off-schedule showings: Ralph Lauren, Coach, Cult Gaia, and Rachel Comey—the latter of whom is celebrating 25 years in the business—will all hold runway shows on September 9.
This season’s New York Fashion Week schedule is shaping up to pack quite the punch, bringing both homecomings and new beginnings. Up top, Diane von Furstenberg, under the new leadership of former protégé Henry Zankov, will open the official schedule and return to the runway for the first time since 2017. Never fear, Zankov’s eponymous brand will also show on Monday, September 14. Returning to the schedule after varying breaks are also Tommy Hilfiger, Luar, Wiederhoeft, Threeasfour, Sabyasachi, and 2026 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Bad Binch TongTong. Thom Browne, who presented his fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection in San Francisco in partnership with the second annual GQ Bowl, is back in New York as Tuesday’s closing slot. The CFDA welcomes two newcomers to the schedule: Magda Butrym and Conner Ives, who usually show in Paris and London, respectively. Perhaps their decampment is taking note from the string of stateside resort shows we saw earlier this summer.
As NYFW is ever the hub for emerging talent, quite a few of this year’s class of CVFF finalists will show runway collections in addition to Bad Binch TongTong. On the schedule are: Amir Taghi, Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen, and Lii. Aisling Camps will hold her sophomore presentation, while Jamie Haller and Milamore will hold appointments. The week promises a sturdy mix of old and new, big and small—something to look forward to once the heat breaks.
