At the risk of sounding like one of those boring small-talkers who only talk about the weather: What a hot summer it’s been already, huh? Heatwave-worthy temperatures have been felt across the globe this week—and while scorching heat can make chic dressing a challenge, the best dressed stars of the week rose to the occasion, choosing striking designs that were equally as, well, hot.
In Paris—which experienced its hottest day ever this past week—stars did not let the heatwave stop them from hitting the spring 2027 menswear shows in style. At Saint Laurent, for instance, Charli XCX showed up in a red-hot slip dress from the label, complete with lace detailing—the perfect barely-there garment for a hot day. Nearby in London, equally minimal frocks shined. At the Serpentine Summer party in London, Sienna Miller wore an elegant Connor Ives silk dress, though she even dared to wear his fur-lined robe coat overtop. (Likely, just for the red carpet photos, before she shed the wintery layers.)
As a whole, the week was all about showing skin in ways that still felt refined and polished. In New York, Supergirl star Milly Alcock chose a strapless Balenciaga bodice top with dress trousers, former first lady Michelle Obama filmed an ABC News segment in Chicago wearing a sleek one-sleeved black Celine frock. Because if you’re going to wear long sleeves in the dead of summer, it had better just be one sleeve!
