Italy may be out of contention at the World Cup, but one thing that they’re certainly in is fashion month. The spring 2027 menswear season kicks off in Florence with the Pitti Uomo fair, a sprawling tradeshow held at Fortezza da Basso, where brands present their latest wares to peacocking dandies. This time around, Dover Street Market’s Kei Ninomiya is one of the guest designers alongside Simone Rocha, who will be showcasing her first solo menswear show.
Aside from the fair’s presentations and events, we also expect many to be celebrating all of the sporting events happening around fashion month. And we don’t mean just soccer. We’ve spotted at least one New York Knicks jersey, and we’re bound to see more when the NBA finals winning team celebrates its championship at home in NYC. We’re also seeing more hats than ever, in an effort perhaps to protect from that glaring Florence sun, but also to add a more elegant and soigné touch to our street stylers’ outfits.
