It was bobapalooza at Chanel and Tribeca Film Festival’s luncheon to celebrate women filmmakers: led by Katie Holmes and her freshly cut lob.
The actor and filmmaker has been making some subtle seasonal hair changes across the last month—just in time for summer. In May, she stepped out for the American Ballet Theater Spring Gala with chocolate brown hair, a switch-up from her brief foray into a dark honey blonde balyage. Holmes had let her “clavi-cut”–a versatile, celebrity-backed style of long bob that hits just at the clavicle bone—grow out, but yesterday saw her with the freshest, razor-sharp lob going. Her new hairdo hit right at the collarbone, styled stick straight. The color was also amplified, with a dark roasted espresso shade all over and almost reddish highlights for added depth and dimension.
Celebrating another year of the trailblazing Through Her Lens program for self-identifying women and non-binary filmmakers, Holmes was in great company: Meg Ryan, Maggie Rogers, Debi Mazar, Supriya Ganesh, Myha’la among them. Many were sporting Matthieu’s latest Chanel releases and more classic bags. And it wasn’t just Holmes who opted for a summer hair refresh: Jodie Foster also embraced a bob, styled soft and straight, just above her shoulders.
