Giorgio Armani’s Annual Pre-Oscars Cocktail Party in Beverly Hills Was As Stylish As It Sounds

Around 6:30 p.m. a frenzy of fans clamored around the Armani doors, marking the superstar-like arrival of Hudson Williams. Greeting members of the Armani team with warm hugs, the actor made his way to the upper level, joining fellow Canadian and Love Story star Paul Anthony Kelley, who had taken a leaf from John F. Kennedy Jr.’s ‘90s style playbook in a double-breasted suit. 

On the suspended balcony, Macaulay Culkin danced with his wife, Brenda Song, playfully spinning her around to show off their matching sleek black looks. “We wanted to be casual but chic,” Song said, while Culkin flashed his matching noir-painted manicure. Song and Culkin weren’t the only ones enjoying an Armani date night. It was a Landman reunion for Jon Hamm and Ali Larter, who were accompanied by their respective spouses, Anna Osceola and Hayes MacArthur. Samuel L. Jackson and his wife, LaTanya Richardson, also joined the party and were spotted taking photos with their goddaughter, Jurnee Smollett.  “Armani is just effortlessly sexy,” Larter said of her sleeveless gown, equipped with an embellished cage-knit bodice. “A lot of the time, I’m corseted in, and everything’s tight and uncomfortable, but this is just easy—and I feel cool.”

Armani’s effortless, easy-to-wear elegance seemed to be the theme of the night for all guests, including Yara Shadidi. “I like to feel like ‘Oh, this is something I would actually wear,’” she told Vogue of choosing her look—a draped, forest green top with matching chiffon pants. “It has to feel like an extension of you.”
