The party didn’t stop after the Grammys wrapped up on Sunday—and by midnight, celebrations were still in full swing. Post-ceremony, newly-minted winners and over 500 industry players did a quick outfit change and made their way to a California desert sunset-themed after-party hosted by Universal Music Group at Nya West.
Around 12:30 a.m., EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami of HUNTR/X strolled into the party. The trio were on cloud nine after their historic win, as Golden, their mega-hit from KPop Demon Hunters, became the first-ever K-Pop song to win a Grammy hours previous (receiving the nod for Best Song for Visual Media.) Nuna and Ami immediately hit the dance floor, twirling and swaying to Janet Jackson’s Together Again. They later joined EJAE for photos and fielded congratulations from guests. “I’m so proud that we won,” EJAE told Vogue. “Today is about celebrating music that unites all cultures, and we need that right now. It’s a great honor!”
British singer-songwriter Lola Young arrived at the fete with a friend, buzzing from her inaugural Grammy win. The recognition of Messy for Best Pop Solo Performance was no mean feat for the newcomer as she was pitted against heavyweights including Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, and Chappell Roan. Still reeling, Young exuberantly grooved to the DJ’s hip-hop track list before catching up with Shania Twain. The duo shared an animated conversation and posed for cameras, with Twain playfully grabbing Young’s face with pride. “Tonight is the best night of my life,” Young could be heard saying.
The six members of Katseye also made an appearance. And although the band didn’t take home the prize for Best New Artist or Best Pop Duo Performance, they were still in top spirits. Each member—Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae—had swapped their matching Ludovic de Saint Sernin looks from earlier in the night and donned different color outfits that were ready for the dance floor.
Guests, including Martha Stewart, Paris Jackson, J Balvin, and Suki Waterhouse, spent the night socializing next to giant cacti, dried botanicals, and large abstract ceiling installations while feasting on a SoCal-style plant-based menu of smash veggie burgers, zucchini fries, vegan pizza, and charred green beans. Meanwhile, in a private area, Lucian Grainge, the CEO of Universal Music Group (and Sofia Richie’s father-in-law) was taking in the scene with Michele Anthony, executive vice president. By 1 a.m., the party was still going strong with many slow to wind down music’s biggest night.
