Jennifer Lawrence has been at the forefront of the leopard print revival; an ardent devotee to her Marlene Birger and La Ligne coats, and often toting a hard-to-find Prada bag. A statement print or strike of color on an otherwise understated and super polished look is a J-Law calling card.
For Halloween 2025, though, the “Die My Love” actor made a playful costume fit into her own style lexicon—producing something that is…actually quite chic. Photographed trick or treating in New York with her husband Cooke Maroney and their two young children, Lawrence donned a cow print coat (in a shape very similar to her La Ligne favorite) and matching accessories including cow ears and horns, and a bell as a necklace. She also wore a chocolate brown sweater, loose wide-leg white jeans, and black boots. Staying true to herself even in costume, her footwear was by The Row. Very moo-ticulous, very Lawrence.

While we’ve all been enjoying leopard print’s renaissance, there’s a growing penchant among celebrities for picking up alternative animal prints. Rihanna is a longtime lover of snake print, busting out a pair of her favorite Amina Muaddi snake print boots just this week to go shopping in Beverly Hills. Sofia Richie Grainge also debuted her new fashion line, SRG, and dropped a deer print jacket. Now Lawrence might be onto something with the bovine style—a more subdued, two tone patchwork. Considering last season’s obsession with all things western, a step into cow-core makes sense. And from Prada spring summer 1991 to Talia Byre and Bottega Veneta today, the runways have always seen the potentials in the big-eyed bovine.
Farmyard fashion might be something we’re talking about more as fall progresses into winter, thanks to Jennifer Lawrence.
