On a balmy Los Angeles evening, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer welcomed a close circle of friends and family to her Brentwood home to celebrate a remarkable milestone—20 years in business. Guests including Malin Åkerman, Jenna Dewan, Mark Guiducci, Erin and Sara Foster, Katharine McPhee Foster, Rachel Zoe, Kelly Sawyer, Tina Craig, Andrea Lieberman, Anita Ko, and Elizabeth Mathis gathered for an informal night that felt less like an industry affair and more like a family reunion.
“It’s wild to say out loud—20 years,” Meyer reflected. “When I started, I didn’t set out to build a brand. I just wanted to create something beautiful.”
That instinct carried her far. Since launching her namesake line in 2005, Meyer’s delicate gold charms and diamond-studded symbols have become part of the modern jewelry vernacular—worn by Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Selena Gomez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba, and Meghan Markle, among others. She was runner-up in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2012 and nominated for the CFDA Swarovski Award for Accessories Design in 2013.
This anniversary also follows one of the toughest years of her career. In 2024, her Los Angeles boutique suffered extensive damage during the Pacific Palisades fire—a devastating blow for a small business. “It was heartbreaking,” she says. “But at the same time, the community came together in such a powerful way.”
In the wake of that loss, Meyer launched the LA Necklace, a diamond-accented pendant shaped like the city’s initials—a tribute to her hometown and a symbol of resilience. “Los Angeles raised me,” she says. “It’s where I built my business and where my family is. Giving back felt like the only thing to do.” All net proceeds from the piece went to Baby2Baby and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, supporting families and first responders affected by the fires.
