Over the past several years, Taylor Russell has become a festival fashion force to be reckoned with, hitting red carpets around the world in scene-stealing vintage and jaunty chapeaux with equal aplomb. Now, at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, Russell is adding to her impressive sartorial oeuvre.
It’s no surprise, given her front-row appearance at the 2026 Dior cruise show in Los Angeles, that the actor’s friend Jonathan Anderson would come through. Indeed, at the premiere of her film, Hope, the Dior ambassador wore a silk jacquard skirt from the house’s spring 2026 couture collection—backwards. Russell flipped the skirt around, opting for a draped column in the front and a bustled back, accented with green leaves. In place of the sheer black tank from the runway, Russell chose a form-fitting white sablé crepe bustier, which she accessorized with white pointy-toe pumps and a Chaumet diamond choker.
Although the Cannes photocalls tend to be a more casual affair than the premieres, Russell still dressed to impress. At Hope’s photocall, for instance, she opted for the closing look from Schiaparelli’s fall 2026 collection—a black turtleneck dress with long open sleeves and a high side slit. Crafted from a shimmering, laminated pleated satin, the gown was draped to resemble grooves in tree bark.
While a show’s closing look is generally nothing short of grand, Russell gave it some cool-girl styling finesse that made it effortlessly fit for the daytime event: She wore her hair up, allowing for curly tendrils to hang loose, and added some sleek black sunglasses for some extra nonchalance.
