Earlier this year, Amal Clooney teased her annual European vacation wardrobe when she declared it yet another Pucci Girl Summer, ringing in George’s 65th birthday in Saint-Tropez with a spring 2026 runway look. But now, on the shores of Capri, Clooney has returned to form in a piece of prized vintage.
In years past, the barrister has spent a trip to Saint-Tropez decked out in vintage neon floral Versace and worn a multi-patterned John Galliano-era Dior slip for dinner in Lake Como. But for her jaunt to Capri, she’s leaning into a 1970s sensibility in colorful vintage Mugler.
Today, for a trip to Villa Bragaglia, Clooney donned a two-piece set—a criss-crossing halter top with a fringed hem and a matching fringed skirt—made of strips of brown, cantaloupe, and teal suede. She accessorized with a cutout brown leather Aquazzura bag, a pair of strappy metallic gold wedges, and her signature oversized sunglasses.
The retro look fits right in with the barrister and humanitarian’s recent sartorial direction, combining her recent, well-documented love of fringe with her passion for vintage. It seems that, while her style is evolving, Amal Clooney is always going to bring archival fashion with her.
