Lovely people she met this season include Jean Paul Gaultier himself, the designer Vera Wang, and the model Achol Ayor. In addition to traipsing to the shows—seven in total, including Schiaparelli, Balenciaga, Chanel, Armani Privé, and Gaultier—her diminutive presence had an outsize effect on street style photographers.
And what did Sisii make of her debut season as an observer of the strange, rarified world of couture? “Well, she was really focusing while watching the models walking down the runway during Schiaparelli,” Poppy reports. “And she yawned and was checking all around while waiting for Chanel to start the show.”
Poppy notes that Sisii never barks, so she didn’t have any reservations bringing her along to the show, and she was proven correct—from the comfort of her lap, the pup mostly dozed or absentmindedly watched the proceedings. “

Sisii, herself, is something of a fashion plate, with many outfits in her growing puppy trousseau (her owner says she’s unsure how many ensembles, exactly, as she’s never bothered to count). Poppy mostly dresses her canine next-of-kin—she has six dog in total—in natural fibers such as cotton or silk, “because they are so small I want them to be comfortable, not just to look pretty.” Sisii even has her own custom Gaultier look, created by Franck Duquenne, the brand’s haute couture director, and one of Poppy’s dear friends ( or, as she calls him, “my gay husband”). At just shy of a year old, it’s unclear how much dear Sisii’s own wardrobe costs because, says Poppy. “I never check the price for any single item because, normally, when I shop for myself or for them, I don’t just purchase one item,” she wrote. “It’s not worth the energy to check how much each piece is.”
