Rihanna Brings Her Bump-Bearing Maternity Style To The 2025 Met Gala After-Parties

If the phrase “I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom” ever applied to anyone, it’s Rihanna. Known for redefining maternity style with custom Loewe and Maison Margiela, she delivered once again at the 2025 Met Gala. We were expecting big things from Riri (who can forget the viral Guo Pei dress from 2015, or the Papal look from 2018), but a pregnancy reveal wasn’t on our bingo card.

Continuing her streak of headline-making maternity moments–perhaps even topping her own Super Bowl reveal–Rihanna debuted the news in both Miu Miu and Marc Jacobs, before switching into another bump-bearing look for the Met Gala after-party at Jean’s, hosted by A$AP Rocky, one of this year’s co-chairs of the Met Gala. She joins a fashionable lineage of Met Gala baby bump debuts, following in the footsteps of Adwoa Aboah, who attended last year’s event in a ruffled red two-piece while pregnant and Serena Williams, who revealed she was pregnant with her second child at the 2023 Met Gala.

This marks Rihanna’s second time attending the Met Gala while pregnant. In 2023, she appeared with A$AP Rocky in a white Valentino gown adorned with roses, a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld. For the after-party this year, Rihanna swapped her Marc Jacobs tailoring for a softer interpretation of the “Tailored for You” dress code baring her bump but covering her head in an embellished durag. Given that this is just the start of Rihanna’s latest round of maternity looks, we can’t wait to see more.
